According to Bauer Media: Taking place just hours after the Academy Awards 2013 winners were announced in Hollywood, Empire gave an audience of agency customers and clients an expert take on the results for them to dazzle their colleague back in the office.
Prior to the event, all guests were invited to take part in an Empire’s Oscar sweepstake. With fierce competition mounting between budding movie aficionado’s, Lizzi Polic from Mindshare emerged triumphant and collected her special Oscar statue on stage.
Hosted by Empire’s Chris Hewitt, Empire also provided an indispensable guide to the year ahead in film, showing trailers for hotly anticipated releases such as Iron Man 3 and The Great Gatsby.
The session concluded with an exclusive Q&A with the amazing Joss Whedon, the writer/director of Avengers Assemble – the 3rd biggest movie of all time. With career credits also including Toy Story, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, Whedon’s attendance truly marked Empire’s access to world class talent and gave all of the guests in attendance a remarkable insight to his latest project, a modern twist on Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.
