Jones, founder and CEO of UKFast commented: "I have known Chris for many years and he is the perfect fit to take the helm of this new opportunity. Successful businesses need dynamic people who have the passion and vision to inspire, Chris is one of those rare people I believe in wholeheartedly."
Jones continued: "With mobile devices and tech changing the way we search for information, it is becoming harder to find effective places for businesses to interact with their audiences. Business Cloud is as much about events, and face-to-face engagement as it is about what’s happening in the UK tech economy. Chris is the perfect front man for both these areas."
The publication is initially intended to be bimonthly with the focus firmly on "technology for a business audience".
It is based out of UKFast's Manchester Campus and is to be distributed nationally.
Jones said, "It's a completely separate entity from the fast-growing cloud computing company UKFast and whilst I am passionate about writing, Chris has all the skills and proven track record to take Business Cloud to a whole new level."
Jones said: "In my opinion Chris is one of the country's best editors and has a real passion for technology and business. As well as this he is one of the best events hosts I've worked with and has a unique style of his own. I'm hugely excited to be going into business with someone who is as passionate about technology as I am."
