Luke Peters (pictured) joined Future as Deputy Editor of T3 in June 2007, having spent seven years working through the ranks at Computeractive. Taking the editorship at T3, he replaces Michael Brook, who moved earlier this year to become Editor of T3 Specials, overseeing the launch of Future’s one-off Gadget Show Magazine collectors’ special.
Luke was heavily involved in last year’s redesign and editorial refresh of T3 and has been responsible for driving many market-leading initiatives for the brand. As a proactive ambassador of the T3 brand, Luke has been an expert judge for several high profile international technology awards, and is a regular contributor to mainstream print and broadcast media gadget and technology stories.
As Editor, Luke will continue to work closely with senior management to further develop the T3 brand. The UK print edition of the magazine takes the global lead for content creation, syndicated across 23 territories where T3 is published, as Future’s most licensed brand. Luke will also spearhead T3’s market leading editorial properties, including The T3 Gadget Awards, T3 Hot 100 and the T3 Tech 100.
Luke Peters, Editor of T3, said: “Since joining T3, I’ve seen it develop into a more stylish and authoritative publication that continues to change the way we think about, and associate ourselves with, technology. With the help of my highly talented and creative editorial team, I’m relishing the opportunity to take T3 into an exciting future.”
Paul Button, Publisher of T3, added: “As you can imagine, the position of T3 Editor is highly regarded and we received a vast amount of interest from across the market. However, it was clear that Luke was the ideal person to take T3 forward, his passion and commitment to the brand is clear to those who work with him, and he’s deeply respected by his peers in the industry. T3 has firmly positioned itself as the premium brand in the UK tech lifestyle market, I am confident that Luke will continue to lead the magazine on this exciting journey and wish him the very best in his new role.”
