A key part of the team which launched Metro in London and across Britain, he went on to join the sports desk at the Scottish Daily Mail in Glasgow.
From there he graduated to Sports Production Editor at the Scottish Mail on Sunday, a position he held for 10 years before taking up his most recent post as Assistant Sports Editor for both the Scottish Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday.
A keen runner and triathlete, Euan will be based in the Glasgow office of the Great Run Company. His remit will include production editorial responsibilities for the Great Run magazines and Running Monthly, syndicating Great Run Publishing products nationally and internationally and growing the Scottish media portfolio.
In addition, Jess Whittington has been promoted to Group Online Editor for Great Run Publishing.
