Future says: Recognised as the world’s most popular and credible videogames awards, the Golden Joystick Awards presented by Green Man Gaming celebrate the very best in the gaming industry and are the only annual awards voted for by the people who matter most – gamers themselves. Last year the Awards garnered a record-breaking four million votes.
Now in their 31st year and spread over 15 fiercely contested categories, the awards recognise every aspect of the world of gaming with gongs including Best Gaming Moment in association with Absolute Radio, Best Gaming Platform in association with Digital Spy, Best Mobile Game and The YouTube Gamer Award.
In addition to its headline sponsorship, Green Man Gaming will also be supporting the Most Wanted category through its vibrant Playfire community. Playfire, a social community for core gamers run by Green Man Gaming, tracks in-game progress, achievements and conversations about the most loved and anticipated games. The highly charged Most Wanted in association with Playfire category not only pits Microsoft’s Xbox One against Sony’s PlayStation 4 but also features the most eagerly anticipated triple-A releases such as Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4.
