Guardian launches app for Guardian Mobile Business Summit 2012

Propeller Mobile has worked with Guardian Media Network to create a free app for the Guardian Mobile Business Summit 2012.

The free Guardian MBS app, brought to delegates in association with Propeller Mobile and summit sponsors YuMe, offers innovative functionality to help attendees make the most of their time before, during and after the summit.

The Guardian Mobile Business Summit takes place this year at the Grange hotel in Saint Paul’s London on Monday 19 November and is a prestigious platform for leaders in mobile content, commerce and communications. The 2012 event will feature internationally renowned leaders from companies such as LinkedIn, MIT, Mozilla, Pearson, Samsung, EA, Foursquare, CBS Interactive, MediaCom, LBi, frog and Incisive and the app will add considerable value to the attendee experience, says Propeller.

Summit visitors using the Guardian MBS app will be able to explore the agenda in depth, discover information about speakers and sponsors and chat through the app with other registered users. An ‘Event Genius’ function matches delegates with each other and advises on suitable sessions based on interests. Users of the app will also be able to send questions to speakers and other attendees and take advantage of a library of event videos and pictures while being kept up to date through the live news stream and twitter feed.

Rob Hough, editor, Guardian Media Network says: “As business becomes increasingly driven by mobile technologies it's important that events stay apace. The Guardian continues to lead the way in this space and our innovative Mobile Business Summit app, created by the talented team at Propeller Mobile, will bring a unique level of networking and engagement for our delegates and for our sponsors."

Martin Loat, Propeller Mobile CEO said: “The new Guardian MBS app is the latest use of Propeller Mobile's popular Event Engine product and will assist Guardian Mobile Business Summit visitors in getting the most out of their day while staying connected though the app’s “Community” feature.”
