Immediate Media Co, a special interest content and platform company, have announced the appointment of Dan Hutson as managing director of Nutracheck, a UK’s subscription-based weight management and dietary improvement platform. Acquired by Immediate in November 2022, Nutracheck is one of the biggest paid-for digital apps in the UK, with 400,000 premium subscribers, added the publisher.

Dan has over a decade of senior cross-functional leadership experience, working across data, insight and product and tech in customer-first businesses. With a background in launching and scaling digital experiences, Dan joins Nutracheck from Constellation Automotive Group where he was group product and design director, leading the discovery and delivery of new products and innovations across UK and Europe to solve customer problems. Dan previously held senior data, digital and product roles at Compare the Market, helping customers save on their households bills.

Hutson will work closely with Immediate’s Food MD, Jessica Norell Neeson, to continue to accelerate Nutracheck growth and develop Immediate’s content and service offer in the food, nutrition and well-being markets, added the publisher.

Immediate Media says Nutracheck’s evidence-based approach for food, exercise and progress tracking helps to guide members to healthier lifestyle choices. Nutracheck provides a solution for calorie and nutrient tracking, using a food database with over 430,000 products and barcode scanner, combined with connectivity to activity tracking devices.
