IPC Ignite appoints Andrew Goldsmith

IPC Ignite managing director Eric Fuller has announced the appointment of Andrew Goldsmith as its new group advertising director, responsible for the group's men’s and music brands, including Nuts, NME and casual games portal www.mousebreaker.com.

Andrew Goldsmith (pictured) is currently Ignite trading director, having risen through the ranks at IPC and previously been advertisement manager of men’s weekly Nuts.

As group advertising director for Ignite, Andrew will lead the strategic development of the division’s commercial team, heading the trading and sponsorship & brand solutions units in delivering innovative cross platform campaigns for partners. He will also work closely with previous Ignite group advertising director Sam Finlay, who was recently appointed as head of IPC Media Digital Sales.

IPC Ignite managing director Eric Fuller says: “This is a key divisional board appointment to a dynamic and challenging role, and Andrew is exactly the right man for the job. He has a first class track record and has consistently outperformed his rivals in some of the toughest markets in the business. He will be an excellent asset to the Ignite board, and a terrific leader for the Ignite sales team.”

Andrew adds: “This is a great opportunity to step up to one of the most exciting roles anywhere in media sales. With imaginative multi-platform sales propositions on brands as strong as NME, Nuts, Mousebreaker, Loaded and Uncut, Ignite has huge potential for the future. I can't wait to get started!”

Andrew takes up the role with immediate effect.
