Jamie wins Lovie

Jamie Magazine, the recipe-packed food and lifestyle interactive digital magazine from Jamie Oliver, has been unveiled as a winner in the third annual pan-European Lovie Awards.

The mission of the Lovie Awards is to recognise the unique and resonant nature of the European digital community – from Europe’s top web and creative networks and content publishers to cultural and political organisations and bedroom bloggers. Now in its third year, the awards reflect the tremendous growth of the internet as a tool for business and everyday lives.

Jamie Magazine, produced using the FutureFolio app creation solution, scooped a medal in a hotly contested category which also included Harrods Magazine, Tate ETC, Wired Italia, GQ Italia.

Jamie Magazine Managing Editor Paul Dring says: “Winning the People’s Lovie Award for tablet magazines rounds off a very successful first year with the FutureFolio team. In that year we have built and launched an app that has also won Apple’s App Store Best of 2012 and have been guided throughout by FutureFolio’s expert knowledge.”

Inside each issue of Jamie Magazine are enticing and achievable recipes from Jamie himself, as well as from the cream of the world's chefs and food writers – all carefully road-tested in the Jamie Oliver test kitchens to make sure they work, time after time.

According to the publishers, the fully HD interactive edition of Jamie Magazine brings its content to life like never before, from simply succulent food photography to its unique Interactive Cook modes, where users can walk through easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions on their iPad as they’re cooking. Alongside easily searchable recipes, the FutureFolio tablet edition takes interactivity to the next step – allowing home chefs to create personalised and emailable shopping lists direct from the recipes for meal planning and preparation – as well as providing a full range of social media share options.

FutureFolio Sales Director Jon Benjamin adds: “It’s a well deserved treat for Jamie Magazine to pick up a coveted Lovie Award – and the icing on the cake that we also won the People’s Choice vote. The Jamie team are a pleasure to work with and the digital magazine is an ideal showcase of just how powerful and effective FutureFolio can be.”

Each monthly digital edition of Jamie Magazine costs £3.99. Six month subscriptions costs £15.99, while a full year subscription will be priced at £29.99. Click here for more information.
