Launch: The World in 2011

The World in 2011, from the Economist, goes on sale on 18th November, priced £5.50.

According to distributors COMAG: “An annual compilation of forecasts, The World In examines the critical issues that will shape the year ahead. Written by journalists from The Economist, prominent politicians and luminaries from the world of business offering their considered opinions and making predictions on business, politics and technology.

Celebrating its 25th edition, The World In 2011 will also include a special feature looking ahead to the next 25 years as well as the big topics that are likely to shape 2011.

Articles in this year’s issue include contributions from high-profile people such as Hillary Clinton talking about American leadership, David Cameron’s views on the real global issues facing the country as well as U.S. entrepreneur turned green campaigner, Shai Agassi, giving his thoughts in a feature called ‘Driving without Oil’.

In addition to The Economist journalists and guest contributors highlighted above, The World In 2011 will feature distinguished editors and columnists from other prestigious global publications, as well as key players from some of the world’s leading think-tanks and universities adding their ideas for what 2011 holds.”
