The three British Jury prizes are: Best Beauty Care, Best Make-up across makeup, skin, hair and bodycare and Best Ethical Product. All of the British Jury prizes were selected by a panel of the UK’s best beauty journalists, including Marie Claire’s beauty and style director, Lisa Oxenham.

Lisa Oxenham will also chair a panel of independent beauty editors and writers to judge the British winner of the inaugural Marie Claire International Fragrance Awards. The winner will be the fragrance that is judged to have the best scent, bottle and innovation and creativity of all fragrances launched in the last year. Marie Claire’s August issue will feature the international winners and the British winner.
Richard Johnstone, Marie Claire publishing director, says: “The UK Prix d’Excellence awards have quickly established themselves with readers and retailers alike as an authoritative and trusted arbiter of beauty. I am very pleased that this year we will be evolving the awards with The Marie Claire Fragrance Awards, which will become an anticipated event on the beauty calendar.”
Trish Halpin, editor-in-chief of Marie Claire, says: “At Marie Claire our message to women is ‘Think Smart, Look Amazing’ and all the winning products and innovations play a role in helping to communicate that philosophy.”
