RSVP is Ireland’s top selling women’s magazine and has been under the leadership of Paula Lenihan since 2011 and has an online digital audience of over 1 million unique users, says Mirror Media. Paula Lenihan will become part of the senior editorial team in Mirror Media in the role of Associate Editor whilst continuing to head up the publishing of RSVP and report into John Kierans, Editor in Chief.
The Cork native spoke enthusiastically about the sale; “I believe this is a wonderful opportunity for the entire team at RSVP, the readers and the advertisers to enjoy the benefits of the resources and extensive experience available from Mirror Media. We have worked with Mirror Media in the past and found them to be a professional, principled and genuine team. I would like to thank everyone who have supported us in our journey so far and look forward to providing all involved with an even better service and content across all platforms. Becoming part of a company with such an impressive track record in the Irish media industry will enhance the RSVP brand enormously. We are very excited about its future.”
Joanne McGreevy, Managing Director of Mirror Media said “We are delighted with this - our first acquisition in the Irish market. We have been working very hard over the last 2 years growing our existing brand online with IrishMirror.ie and creating new successful brands - Belfast Live and more recently Dublin Live. Acquiring the RSVP brand will help us accelerate our audience growth in Ireland. Its print and online brands are a great fit with our existing business.”
