Hussain Bayoomi will be joining Newsquest on July 11th 2016 as Managing Director of Wales. Hussain is currently Regional Commercial Director for Bristol News & Media with Trinity Mirror, a position he has held since 2012. Prior to that he was Head of Sales for Trinity Mirror Wales.
Julia Lancett, the current Managing Director of Newsquest Wales & Gloucestershire will take on responsibility of Newsquest South Midlands while retaining Gloucestershire. Julia’s new role will be effective from July 4th 2016.
In Midlands South, Julia replaces Trevor Sallis, who is retiring after a successful spell of 17 years with Newsquest and 35 years in the industry.
Newsquest Chief Executive, Henry Faure Walker said: “I'm delighted to welcome Hussain to Newsquest and to announce Julia's promotion, and look forward to them building further on their already impressive track records in regional publishing.
