Kate Law, a Haymarket veteran of some 19 years, is returning from maternity leave. Prior to the birth of her daughter, Kate was publishing director at Haymarket Network, responsible for the Leisure and Public Sector division. She had direct responsibility for products and relationships with the likes of RBS, Citroen, KPMG, the Design Council, Canon, the Youth Hostel Association and Camelot, among others. Notably, for many years Kate was responsible for the multi-award winning work for the British Army.
Kate brings a wealth of consumer, business and customer publishing experience to her new role. She replaces Simon Temlett, who became publishing director of Haymarket’s caravan portfolio in late 2009.
It is an exciting time for Haymarket’s classical music group, says the publisher. The team enjoyed a successful 2009 in which it launched Gramophone’s "unique" magazine archive online (www.gramophone.net) and completely rebuilt the core Gramophone website.
Says Bob McDowell, director responsible for Haymarket’s Leisure Division, “I’m delighted to welcome Kate to the team. Her flair in delivering high quality products for clients within Haymarket Network, and in creating innovative marketing and response mechanisms, offers us the chance to develop further our products on behalf of both our readers and commercial partners.
“Kate joins a stable, talented team on our classical music brands. I am certain that she will not only fit in, but thrive.”
