Oneshot: 100 Years Of The Titanic

100 Years Of The Titanic, a new oneshot from Sport Media, goes on sale 6 February, priced £4.99.

According to distributors COMAG Specialist: “A century after it sank to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, the Titanic remains the most famous ship in the world and continues to hold a particular fascination with the public.

Having set sail from Southampton on 10 April 1912 on her maiden voyage to New York, RMS Titanic struck an iceberg during the night of 14 April and sank in the early hours of 15 April. Of the 2,233 people on board the Titanic, 1,517 unfortunately perished.

To mark the 100th anniversary of the disaster, the Daily Mirror is releasing a glossy 84-page magazine that will tell the whole dramatic, but tragic story of the ill-fated voyage.

100 Years Of The Titanic  will feature rare and previously unseen images from the archive of the Daily Mirror, along with reproductions of pages and reports from the newspaper at the time to tell the story of how the ship believed to be unsinkable met with catastrophe on its maiden voyage.

Examining the controversy about why it sank and who was to blame, 100 Years Of The Titanic will tell the human stories of those who were saved and highlighting those that were lost as the Titanic sank into the freezing waters of the Atlantic that night.

While the legend of the Titanic has never gone away, the long search for the wreck and the blockbuster film epic starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, have brought a lot of attention to the ship in recent years and created massive interest in the story.”
