Key to the rebrand is the launch of a comprehensive new website providing news, opinion, in-depth articles, best practice guidance, information and intelligence about all aspects of civil society.
Launching today, www.CivilSociety.co.uk combines all the information on the previous magazine websites and offers a host of specially commissioned additional material.
Daniel Phelan (pictured), editor-in-chief, said: "The term Civil Society describes the broad area of organisational activity sitting between the state and the market, which comprises not just charities and voluntary bodies but all forms of socially collaborative, non-profit-distributing activity.
Civil Society is positive vocabulary that succinctly and clearly summarises the sector we serve using language that is readily understood throughout the world.
By changing our enterprise name to Civil Society Media, we are emphasising our commitment to civil society, both through our extensive range of information and training products for civil society organisations and through our own values and ethos."
New features on the website include a Who's who of key people, and a comprehensive Directory of organisations supplying the sector with goods and services. It is also the new home Civil Society Events and Civil Society Jobs, the website for “anyone seeking work in the sector”.
