PressReader, a digital platform for newspapers, magazines and books, has unveiled an evolution of its digital publishing solution.
The offering, previously known as Branded Editions, is now PressReader Editions+. The company says the refresh reflects the full scope of products available to empower publishers to share their content in premium digital experiences.
“This service has always been more than branded editions — or digital replicas — of publications. Much more,” said Ruairí Doyle, CEO of PressReader. “With Editions+, publishers gain access to a complete suite of tools designed to create exceptional digital experiences for readers and grow digital revenue. This refresh is a better reflection of that and a signal of what’s to come.”
Editions+ provides products that help publishers, like The Guardian, New York Post, South China Morning Post and The Globe and Mail, turn their content into digital experiences quickly and simply, added PressReader.
These products cover much more than digital replicas, the company continued, and include:
- Custom websites – Interactive, user-friendly reading experiences that go beyond static PDFs with features like article view, commenting, audio narration and search that make content dynamic and accessible.
- Branded mobile apps – Immersive, tailored apps that can deliver live news, video, audio, podcasts, puzzles and easy access to digital editions.
- App integrations – Simple SDKs that enable publishers that already have a mobile app to provide their readers with access to interactive, digital editions right where they already love to read.
- Compiled Editions – Transform digital content into seamless, visually captivating publications that engage and resonate with readers.
“In addition to a suite of powerful features, Branded Editions was known for its dedicated publisher support from a talented and passionate team,” said Steve Chapman, SVP, Sales. “This refresh makes it clearer that Editions+ is part of the world-class PressReader brand, providing best-in-class service, while helping drive incremental revenue and further engagement with each and every subscriber.”
