PSC wins ISO 9001 re-certification

The internationally-recognised award, which has so far only been achieved by about five per cent of UK businesses, follows an independent assessment of the company's quality management systems.

With its suite of back-office programs designed specifically to help magazine publishing companies streamline their business, Publishing Software Company (PSC) is clearly dedicated to serving the publishing sector, says PSC MD Laurence Cope (pictured). Now this service has been rewarded with ISO 9001 re-certification.

Cliff Smith of QMS, who undertook the assessment, paid particular tribute to “the continual investment in people and training that enables PSC to provide an efficient service to customers.”

Not surprising really, continues Cope, from a company firmly rooted in employee expertise. PSC's software is written by people who have worked in the publishing industry and understand its needs. Flexible, accessible information is the key function of all its magazine management programmes.

“We have always been proud of the service we offer and the way we conduct our business. With ISO 9001 certification, this has been confirmed by outside experts who are used to judging standards in a variety of trades and industries. Certification involves monitoring all our procedures, so it makes us more answerable to our clients and ultimately, they will benefit from a better program.”
