Rosie Tanner is new editor of Digital Photography

Imagine Publishing has enlisted the editorial experience of Editor Rosie Tanner, to head up its successful print magazine, Digital Photographer, and website Dphotographer.co.uk.

Having worked as Editor on Imagine’s Photoshop Creative magazine for a number of years, Tanner returns to the photography market where she worked previously, on magazines, including Digital Photography Made Easy and Digital Camera Buyer.

Commenting on her new role, Tanner said: “It’s such an honour to be taking the reins of Digital Photographer. Having contributed to the magazine for almost 50 issues, it’s so exciting to become a permanent member of such a talented team. I’m looking forward to driving forward the global success of the magazine, and pushing the Digital Photographer brand onwards and upwards both in print and online.”

Launched in 2002, Digital Photographer magazine has grown to become one of the most respected brands in the industry, offering readers creative shooting advice, inspirational features and high end kit reviews. The online portal, continues the publisher, plays hosts to over 120,000 user uploaded images and generates over 750,000 impressions every month.

Editor in chief Debbi Allen said: “2010 looks set to be an exciting and challenging year for photography, with Digital Photographer celebrating its 100th issue, and key imaging events such as Focus on Imaging and Photokina to look forward to. Rosie, the DP team and myself look forward to meeting these challenges and driving the brand further than ever.”
