The cover feature is given over to the film, and includes exclusive interviews with lead stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone (who play Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey respectively), alongside producer Matthew Tolmach.
The magazine execution links in seamlessly with an array of interactive activity and further exclusive content on the www.shortlist.com website, including a visually stunning homepage takeover and re-skin based around the film’s instantly recognisable iconography.
This venture is a first for ShortList Media, which is actively looking into more dynamic and creative ways to use both the magazine and the website to deliver engaging and entertaining advertiser content to its affluent ABC1 male audience.
The Amazing Spider-Man issue of ShortList will hit the streets on Thursday 5 July.
Peter Taylor, managing director of Sony Pictures Releasing UK, comments: “We have enjoyed a long and creative relationship with everyone at ShortList and the work done on The Amazing Spider-Man not only consolidates this, but the tactile cover wrap takes it to a whole new level. We are delighted to once again partner with this great publication on one of our most important movies of 2012.”
Darren Singh, publisher of ShortList magazine, says: “We are thrilled to support the launch of The Amazing Spider-Man with such a fantastically creative and tactile cover execution, which reinforces ShortList's position as the pioneer in innovative magazine publishing.”
Martin Robinson, editor of ShortList magazine, adds: “ShortList has never been more strokable! We pride ourselves on being the most pioneering magazine on the market, so we’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with Sony on this highly original cover wrap. We now have a memorable and highly collectable issue that our readers will love. Amazing indeed.”
