Speakers announced for Specialist Media Conference 2012

The first speakers have been announced for the Specialist Media Conference, taking place on 24 May 2012 at Think Tank Birmingham.

Carolyn Morgan, conference director, writes: “I wanted to let you know who's speaking at the Specialist Media Conference in May. I've focussed on people leading innovative niche consumer and b2b publishing businesses who are happy to share their experiences in print, web, mobile and live events.

The theme of the day is "Think Niche, Act Global" as many of the speakers and panellists have successfully expanded internationally, and digital is providing new channels for smaller publishers to reach a worldwide audience

• Future are experimenting in e-commerce from Richard Walker, Director of Consumer Revenues

• Boat International have grown global events and licensed editions, from Tony Harris, CEO

• Loop Digital Media built their own app and developed Chinese and Russian editions, from Sam Spurdens, Publisher

• Advanstar are developing content across web, print, mobile, social and elearning, from Content Director, Peter Houston (pictured)

• Sift Media are developing pay gateways and commercialising b2b communities, from CEO Ben Heald

• Sigaria are creating innovative membership propositions for global procurement leaders, from MD Alex Martinez
