knk Software says The Pilgrim Press, one of the oldest English language publishing traditions in North America, was looking to combine their entire publishing processes into one place to increase efficiency, improve analytics, and enable a system for future subscription growth. They chose knkPublishing, which is based on Microsoft Dynamics.
The company says the joint project covered the implementation of knkPublishing within the areas of contract and royalty management, financials, and media sales, as well as knkPublishing’s integrated Customer Relationship Management. Sebastian Mayeres, CEO of knk Software, explains: “The final result is a streamlined editorial process, a production management and sales order processing, automation with their online store, and integration of their external warehouse with their fulfillment service - and shipment confirmations, with the process fully automated. In addition, interfaces were created to import third-party sales.”
“We are enthusiastic as we move from working with spreadsheets and multiple platforms, to a digitized, all-in-one solution that integrates our data in an easy-to-use system. The new knk system has simplified the process and put more data at our fingertips,” states the Reverend Rachel G. Hackenberg, publisher, The Pilgrim Press. “We are especially impressed by the royalty and licensing module that calculates royalties for even the most complicated contracts, to the smallest detail,” she said.
Sebastian Mayeres adds, “knk enjoyed working with the team at The Pilgrim Press. We are pleased to have been able to provide them with a well-designed system where all their processes and data are centralized, greater efficiencies and automation can give them peace of mind, and steps have been established to help achieve future growth.”
