Total Film to launch interactive iPad edition

Total Film, the modern movie brand for film fans, will launch a fully interactive global iPad edition on Friday featuring interactive pages, exclusive content and full-screen video.

Fully retina display enabled to take advantage of the razor-sharp image quality on the new iPad, the monthly edition contains a raft of interactive content and features in addition to the standard print-replica digital edition. These include animated feature intros, exclusive picture galleries, full-screen movie trailers and sharable text.

The Total Film Interactive Edition was created using Future’s own proprietary software, FutureFolio. FutureFolio is an Apple-approved wrapper for digital products on the Newsstand, which opens up new opportunities and channels for the digital publication market, says Future.

Launching with an exclusive The Dark Knight Rises cover story, the issue itself features bespoke video content direct from the set of the blockbuster film of summer.

Jane Crowther, Editor of Total Film, says: “The Total Film Interactive iPad Edition offers our readers the perfect opportunity to fully engage in the Total Film experience. Through interactive pages, bespoke video, plus exclusive extra content and galleries, our audience of passionate film fans are able to interact with the brands cutting-edge editorial content more than ever before.”

Mike Goldsmith, Future’s Editor-in-Chief of iPad & Tablet Editions, says: “Total Film is the perfect brand for the iPad - good-looking, cool, interactive, forward-looking and all about amazing content. By using our own magazine app creation software to create this product, we are able to make editorial workflow as efficient as possible and produce an interactive edition that’s truly best in class.”

With over 70 titles available to purchase on Apple’s Newsstand, Future claims to be a world leader in tablet publishing and to have more digital editions available for iPads and iPhones than any other publisher.

The monthly Total Film Interactive Edition will be available to download from www.totalfilm.com/newsstand priced at £3.99. Film fans can also download a free sampler edition from the Total Film Container App now.
