The V&A Magazine, published by the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), has launched a fully searchable archive in partnership with digital platform Exact Editions. Back issues stretching back to 2022, as well as all ongoing issues, are available to consumers and libraries worldwide across web, iOS and Android devices by subscription.
Published three times a year, the V&A Magazine offers a window on to the objects and people of the family of museums. Expanding on their major exhibitions and unrivalled collections, each issue celebrates beauty, history and ideas; from Donatello to Chanel, medieval glass to contemporary tapestry, and ancient Egyptian treasures to the birth of digital art, added Exact Editions. Its pages feature original photography that takes readers behind the scenes with curators and conservators to uncover fresh research and hidden gems among the museum’s 2.8 million objects, as well as regular features such as studio visits with current makers and book reviews from leading cultural commentators, Exact Editions continued.
Exact Editions says its platform provides libraries with intuitive, cross-device access to the archive, with IP-authenticated and remote access, interactive contents pages, advanced keyword search, and accessibility features like plain text views for navigation.
