Winners of The PPA Awards 2010 revealed

The winners of The PPA Awards 2010 were unveiled at a glamorous 1950s-themed ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Mayfair’s Park Lane on June 16.

More than 1,000 guests from across the magazine publishing industry gathered for the 30th anniversary of the event, which celebrates editorial and publishing excellence in the consumer magazines and business media sector. The awards were hosted by comedian Sean Lock who handed out a total of 22 awards on the night.

Barry McIlheney, chief executive of the PPA, said: “The PPA Awards are the pinnacle of the magazine industry calendar and tonight’s event was no exception, providing a showcase for the phenomenal talent within the UK magazine sector.

“With a greater number of entries than last year our congratulations go to all those who made it to the shortlist. However, special praise must be reserved for the winners who stood out from an exceptional crowd.”

The PPA says: “The Periodical Publishers Association (PPA) protects and promotes the interests of print and online publishers of consumer and business media in the UK. The PPA has around 200 publishing companies in its membership, which collectively produce more than 2,500 consumer and business magazines and journals as well as digital media, data products and events.”
