The tie-up sees YouTube sponsor a brand new category, The YouTube Gamer Award, whilst also promoting and hosting a livestream of the event itself.
Voted for by gamers on the HMV GamesMaster Golden Joystick Awards channel, the new category will recognise the biggest and best gaming video creators on YouTube. Nominees for the award are: Yogscast, TheSyndicateProject, Total Biscuit, AtheneWins, Matroix and InTheLittleWood.

As the largest and longest running videogame awards in the world, the HMV GamesMaster Golden Joystick Awards celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, say the organisers. Voted for exclusively by the global gaming public, this year will see the very best of the gaming industry compete across 17 fiercely contested award categories, including Best Action-Adventure Game in association with Digital Spy and Best Handheld Game in association with T3.
