Abacus and Alliance to develop new audience software

Abacus e-Media and Alliance Media have announced that they are working together on the development of a “powerful” new suite of Audience Development software.

The Audience Development software tools are designed to deliver actionable intelligence to give publishers the ability to act quickly and decisively to optimise customer revenues across all of their digital and print products and services. Adopting a dynamic data structure that moves beyond the traditional attempts at providing a single customer view, this software will provide a data repository which is designed to interact and integrate with publishers’ existing technology platforms.

Innovative Business Intelligence tools will offer user defined, real-time analysis and reporting so that publishers can apply trend analysis, audience segmentation and trigger marketing to drive rapid product development.

According to the two companies, “We are working closely with a number of media owners to ensure that the scope, functionality and performance of the Audience Development software meets both current and future needs. For marketing and circulation professionals, the challenge is to make sense of – and money from – the masses of customer and prospect data that is being generated every day via web interactions, subscription renewals, event registration, mobile and email communications.”

Scheduled for release in June 2011, this “ground breaking” software will provide publishers with a self-service solution to control the management and configuration of their marketing data.
