Bauer Media restructure sales force

Leading multi-platform media group, Bauer Media, has announced a restructure of its commercial offering by integrating its digital, print and broadcast sales teams around brands.

The restructure will result in each of Bauer’s 100-strong commercial team dedicated to digital sales alongside traditional advertising channels. The move is aimed at streamlining advertisers’ ability to connect with audiences across multiple platforms, through Bauer’s portfolio of influential brands including GRAZIA, EMPIRE, Magic 105.4, Closer & KISS.

To complement the new commercial structure, Bauer Media has created a digital trading hub which will act as a single point of contact for advertisers to simply and efficiently buy across Bauer’s digital portfolio. The hub will be led by Vicki Clubley, acting head of magazine trading, who will work closely with Tom Curry, radio commercial director - trading. The hub will champion the use of innovative digital advertising across the entire portfolio to promote creative digital excellence across the brand teams.

Under the new structure, each advertising team will be responsible for all digital revenue into their respective brands.  Digital expertise will be driven by three digital creative brand directors, Fiza Khan, Tatiana Osei, Mita Mistry who will be integrated into the radio and magazine teams. Overall responsibility for creative digital excellence will sit with Andrea Kilbourne, digital director, who will oversee the creation of innovative, marketing leading and award-winning creative solutions.

Overall commercial responsibility - encompassing both traditional and digital revenues - will be held by Clare Chamberlain, who will be joining Bauer Media as Sales Director for London lifestyle magazines; Derek Hewitt, radio sales director and Darren Khan, head of TV.

Andrea Kilbourne, digital director, lifestyle and advertising, Bauer Media London, said: “Bauer Media has many exceptionally talented individuals in the team and this move to integrate digital practices into all our sales divisions will develop deeper expertise, continue driving innovation and serve our customers more effectively. Digital expertise will sit at the heart of our brand teams and enable us to offer greater creative ideas and solutions across our portfolio of influential brands.”

The restructure follows the recent announcement that Lauren Holleyoake has also been promoted to a new role of Publishing Manager, Grazia and more!. In addition, Mark Frith has joined Bauer Media as editorial director, Lifestyle, and Abby Carvosso was promoted in November 2011 to the newly created role of MD, Lifestyle & Advertising.
