Bella announces results of beauty awards

Which are the most rated beauty products of 2011 as voted for by real women? The answers, says H Bauer Publishing, are to be found in the latest issue of Bella magazine on sale from Tuesday 20 December.

According to the publishers: The results show that when it comes to beauty, women don’t necessarily have to spend a fortune on products to achieve results.

In the first ever Bella beauty awards, over 1,600 readers voted for the products they are most likely to reach for on their dressing tables and in their make-up bags. The votes have been counted and the winners and runners-up in each of the 22 categories are announced. The results show that there are still some great recession-beating beauty products out there for under £5 – with one of the cheapest products on the list being Simple eye-make up remover at £1.32. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E also represents great value as winner of the body lotion category at £3.73 and Rimmel 60 seconds nail polish was top in its category at £3.69.

The list also includes a great selection of beauty products for under £10. The winner of the eyeshadow category was Bourjois Little Round Pot at £5.99 and Maybelline The Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara was runner-up in its category at £7.19.

Though it would appear that when it comes to beauty, women tend to splash out a little bit more on anti-ageing products, top in this category was Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Beauty Serum at £21 and Boots No7 also stole the show in the day cream and night cream categories. The Bella beauty awards 2011 includes a great mix of affordable beauty products.
