Catherine Harding-Wiltshire, Head of Production & Distribution at BMJ Group, says: "We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Polestar Chantry. We feel they are best placed to offer the Group a wide range of options around press configuration and binding / mailing firepower which is crucial to protecting our business.
This was a very difficult decision for us as the incumbent printer Precision Colour Printing have performed impeccably over the last five years but unfortunately could not match the arsenal at Polestar's disposal. PCP will retain the two BVA titles."
James Povey, Marketing Director – UK Print of Polestar, says: "It has been a long-term ambition for Polestar to win back this extremely prestigious stable of weekly titles. The team at Polestar Chantry had to fight very hard to win the deal and we are all absolutely delighted that BMJ Group has chosen us as their supplier for the coming future."
There are four main weekly titles in the portfolio:
• GP
• Clinical Research
• BMANews
• BMJ
From late November 2010, the magazines will be printed, perfect bound and mailed at Polestar Chantry. Saddle stitching, where required, will be undertaken at Polestar Petty.
These titles will join the two monthlies, Student BMJ and Student BMANews, which have printed at Polestar Chantry for the last three months.
