CDS Global to consolidate magazine sales metrics across digital newsstands

eEditions International is the first solution, says CDS Global, to aggregate customer and sales data across digital vendors, including Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Google Play and Zinio, and provide accurate, actionable reporting and data management for magazine publishers worldwide.

CDS Global, a leading provider of end-to-end business process outsourcing to the magazine publishing industry, has announced the launch of eEditions International. According to CDS, the product is the first data retrieval and management solution to provide consolidated metrics on magazine sales across digital newsstands such as Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Google Play and Zinio.

For more than 40 years, CDS Global has provided complex data and order management to the media industry. With a history of consolidating, normalising and standardising data from a variety of sources and turning that data into an actionable resource, CDS Global is positioned to help media companies manage disparate information coming from third-party digital newsstands. eEditions International eliminates the need for publishers to manually retrieve and analyse raw customer and transactional data from individual newsstand vendors, serving as a single source for meaningful sales, retention, audit and financial information across storefronts, says the company.

“With the proliferation of tablet devices and the growing number of digital newsstands, it is paramount that publishers have the ability to gather clear, consolidated customer sales data,” said Mark Judd, managing director of CDS Global. “eEditions International eases the burden of managing the inconsistent data publishers are receiving from their digital content vendors, allowing them to make informed business decisions based on metrics, trends and buying behaviour.”

eEditions International is an optimised version of CDS Global’s eEditions product, which was released to the North American market in 2012. It incorporates the unique needs of publishers outside of the U.S. and Canada, and addresses the market nuances that present challenges to collecting cohesive data.

“Publishers around the world have been awaiting a solution to meet this critical need, and the impact is enormous” said Judd. “Media companies that were struggling to measure success of their digital products now have the insight needed to further engage their audiences and drive revenue.”

eEditions International is available to any publisher looking for a solution to effectively and accurately measure its digital magazine sales metrics, irrespective of whether the company is an existing CDS Global client.
