Centaur Media Reveals Digital Design Week

Centaur Media announces that Design Week will reveal its rebranded digital product suite on 23rd February, cementing its position, say the publishers, as the go-to resource for the design industry.

The digital publication will launch its updated brand across desktop, tablet and mobile, offering users a source of live updated industry news, emerging trends and analysis across all sectors of design.

The visual format is easy to digest and provides a tailored experience for all readers. Key features of the website include a new Inspiration Board that will present the latest design work and a constant stream of breaking news, analysis and emerging trends. Design Week’s raft of new-look digital products will be supported by a weekly curated digital edition, outlining and discussing current big issues with comment from leading voices of the industry.

The launch edition will take an in-depth look at each major political party’s manifesto for the design industry ahead of the General Election, to see who will recognise and support the industry’s increasing contribution to the UK economy, the value of which grew 25% last year.

The new look digital Design Week will feature a series of ongoing in-depth interviews with globally recognised designers, from well-known studios such as Barber and Osgerby, who designed the London 2012 Olympic Torch and are now working on Crossrail, to highly respected individuals including Morag Myerscough, the lead designer for new Design Museum interiors, and Matt Willey, the newspaper design specialist behind the new look Independent newspaper, and who’s currently working on the New York Times redesign.

Angus Montgomery, Editor, Design Week, says; “With the re-launch of Design Week we're reasserting our position at the center of the design industry, as a hub for voices from all aspects of design, from products to brand packaging. Design is an exciting and fast-moving industry and it deserves an equally vibrant and dynamic industry title. But design is also a serious, influential and economically powerful sector and the new Design Week will reflect this. We are the key title for the people who shape design; reporting on the issues that affect it and the projects that make it special. The new Design Week will be in-depth, insightful and always interesting."

Andria Vidler, CEO, Centaur Media Group, says; “At Centaur Media Group, we’re dedicated to creating the best product to enable the industry and the individual. Across the group we’re committed to offering dynamic properties that will engage and enable our audiences. Design Week’s digital re-launch, illustrates how Centaur constantly innovates to maintain DW’s market position, supporting this vibrant industry by delivering high quality, beautifully design-led content to all devices on demand . The new Design Week will continue to be an essential resource for anyone interested in design, delivering our core remit of servicing readers with the best content available.”

The website will launch on 23rd February 2015.
