Changes to Saturday’s Daily Telegraph

The Daily Telegraph has introduced the following additions to its Saturday edition.

Simon Mayo, the BBC Radio presenter, will be writing a fortnightly column. Simon was interviewed in the Weekend section last weekend, before he takes over the Radio 2 Drivetime slot today.

Simon’s bi-monthly column starts on January 23. He will write on a variety of lifestyle issues such as music, family, politics and culture.

Mark Skipworth, Executive Editor, responsible for the Saturday edition, said: “We are delighted that Simon will be writing regularly for us, he will have lots of interesting and amusing things to bring to readers' breakfast tables on Saturday mornings.”

Judith Miller will be joining the The Daily Telegraph Property section. Judith is a well-respected expert in antiques and collectables, with a very popular blog. Judith will be writing a fortnightly column on how and what to collect, what's in, what's out, plus the best of the fairs - local and international.

A new, 20-page, tabloid Motoring section will also be available from this weekend. The Daily Telegraph’s regular writers are given even more prominence and there are additional features such as Car Clinic - where Honest John will select the most appropriate car for Telegraph readers.

Mark Skipworth, said: “This is a fantastic expanded section. Our dedicated motoring section puts even more emphasis on delivering good advice relevant to our readers, and brings together all the experts in this field. From James May and Erin Baker to Andrew English and Mike Rutherford (Mr Money), Telegraph readers will be up to date on all motoring developments.

“These are all exciting new changes to the best selling Saturday edition.”
