Citi Group takes over the Telegraph

Telegraph Media Group (TMG) has announced a partnership with Citi Group.

The partnership will focus on the bank’s 200 year history and their association with major innovations during this period such as funding the first transatlantic cable in 1866, the Panama Canal in 1094 and backing commercial jets in 1958.

The partnership, brokered by TMG’s Manchester office, will launch with a multiplatform campaign today, 16th May.

The campaign will include a complete takeover of The Telegraph’s Business section, new advertisement formats throughout The Daily Telegraph, as well as a new version of the translucent cover wrap incorporating all advertisements on the front and back pages of the main paper.

Online, there will be a home page takeover of The Telegraph and a new ‘swipe format’ of advertisements served in safari. There will also be a new ad format within The Telegraph’s iPad app.

Matt Cory, Director, Telegraph Create, said: “This is a fantastic example of collaboration between a creative agency, a media agency, a media owner and a client.  The result is a great creative concept, brilliantly implemented to deliver amazing impact for Citi.”
