Company magazine has announced that Nivea Deodorant Pearl & Beauty is headline sponsor of the Company Fashion Awards 2009, in a deal negotiated by Carat Sponsorship.

The package for the event, which launches in the September 2009 issue of Company magazine, will include sponsored editorial, advertorials, on-line activity and point-of-sale materials.

The deal was brokered by Helen Maughan, Advertising Director of Company magazine in conjunction with Maria Donaldson, Sponsorship Manager at Carat Sponsorship.

Readers and shoppers alike will be able to vote for their favourite shops in 19 categories, on-line at www.company.co.uk – formerly known as www.getlippy.com.  The on-line voting went live on 3rd August.  Retailers are able to drive votes and publicity for their brand by carrying a clickthrough from their website to the survey on www.company.co.uk

Point of Sale promoting the awards will be in-store at nine retailers from 3rd August 2009, retailers carrying the point of sale include: Topshop, River Island, New Look, Warehouse, Knickerbox, Office, Faith, Evans and Miss Selfridge.

Meribeth Parker, Group Publishing Director of the Young Women’s Group, says:  “This sponsorship provides NIVEA Deodorant Pearl & Beauty with a great opportunity to reach thousands of Company readers across both print and online platforms.  Last year, more than 66,000 young women voted in the awards to choose their favourite high street retailers.  We are delighted to have Nivea on board and look forward to making the 2009 awards bigger and better than ever.”

Maria Lukoyanova, Nivea Deodorant Brand Manager says:  “It is fantastic that we have been able to extend this successful partnership into a second consecutive year. The Fashion Awards are a perfect vehicle for Nivea Deodorant Pearl & Beauty to associate with strategically; as well as providing Fashion & Glamour links, it also enables us to communicate the product’s positioning statement of ‘accessorise your underarms’ via the sponsored category of ‘best accessories’."
