Condé Nast Traveller launches Mandarin Expert Guide to Shopping in London

Condé Nast Traveller UK has announced the launch of its Mandarin Expert Guide to Shopping in London.

Devoted exclusively to the discerning Chinese traveller, this debut Autumn/Winter 2013 issue coincides with ‘Golden Week’, one of the main Chinese holiday periods, available from 1st October.

The editorial focuses on key areas of London including Knightsbridge & Chelsea, Mayfair & Covent Garden, Notting Hill and Marylebone. Containing fashion, beauty, jewellery and watch news, a guide to the Capital’s hotels, restaurants and department stores as well as places for afternoon tea. Other highlights of the debut issue include profiles of Christopher Bailey and Queen Elizabeth II, a look at British style icons, and for those wishing to take a break and explore further afield, an article on Edinburgh.

Melinda Stevens, Editor of Condé Nast Traveller, says “London is one of the world’s most exciting cities, known for its cutting-edge fashion, its luxury hotels and creative spirit and our aim is to provide the best possible guide to all that it has to offer.”

Simon Leadsford, Condé Nast Traveller’s Publishing Director adds, “With 175,000 Chinese tourists coming to London every year, it makes sense for the world’s most discerning travel title to provide them with the most authoritative guide to London there is.”

Available in over 140 hotels in and around London including Claridge’s, The Bulgari, The Dorchester and The Goring, as well as across stores on Bond Street and Sloane Street, the magazine will also be distributed via inbound flights and airport lounges from Shanghai and Beijing, on airlines including LBA, Virgin, China Eastern and China Southern airlines, among Chinese tour operators, London Business and foreign language schools, corporation head offices in central London, and at Bicester Village.

This Mandarin edition will be bi-annual, with the Spring/Summer edition available next year tying in with Chinese New Year.
