Cosmopolitan celebrates female talent at Ad Week Europe

Last week’s Ad Week Europe included two events, hosted by Cosmopolitan, one looking at issues of feminism and the other celebrating female talent in the industry.

On Tuesday, Cosmopolitan presented Cosmopolitan and the F Word at BAFTA. A panel discussion, entitled 'Do you use the F word?' was led by Cosmopolitan Editor, Louise Court, and looked at questions such as: How are women represented? How many true role models are there for women? What message are we putting out to young women as an industry? Essentially, as an industry which employs a lot of women, are we where we should be? Louise was joined on stage by: Nicola Mendelsohn, Chairman & Partner, Karmarama and President, IPA, Alex Bilmes, Editor of Esquire, Claudine Collins, Managing Director, Mediacom, Stephen Haines, UK Commercial Director, Facebook and Cilla Snowball CBE, Group Chairman and Group CEO, AMV BBDO.

Later that evening, Cosmopolitan hosted an invitation only event at The Orangery at Kensington Palace to celebrate female talent in the industry, saluting industry icons and the next generation of dynamic leaders. As part of the evening, Cosmopolitan honoured three leading figure in the world of advertising: Claudine Collins, Managing Director, Mediacom, Roisin Donnelly, Corporate Marketing Director, P&G, UK & Ireland and Cilla Snowball CBE, Group Chairman and Group CEO, AMV BBDO.
