Cover Price Boost for Eastern Newsagents

East Anglian newsagents have received a welcome boost, with the Eastern Daily Press raising the cover price across all six editions of the paper, accompanied by pro-rata terms for retailers.

From Monday, September 30, the newspaper cover price rose by 5p to 75p for Monday to Friday editions. With terms of 20 per cent, retailers will now receive 15p for every copy sold.

Welcoming the move NFRN news operations chairman Alan Smith said: “The success of local newspapers is in no small part down to the efforts of Independent newsagents in promoting them to the local communities. We are pleased that the publisher of the Eastern Daily Press, Archant, continues to recognise the critical role that independent newsagents play and is rewarding them accordingly.”
