Dan Oliver promoted to Global Editor in Chief of Creative Bloq

Future plc yesterday announced that Dan Oliver has been promoted to Global Editor in Chief of its website for designers, CreativeBloq.com, with immediate effect.

Dan, who was the founding editor of the site back in 2012, moves from his role of Group Editor in Chief of Future’s Creative & Design titles to work exclusively on Creative Bloq, and help drive the editorial and commercial success of the site for 2016.

Dan Oliver, Global Editor in Chief, of Creative Bloq, says, “Whilst 2015 was a fantastic year for our print design titles, and it was an absolute pleasure working with the people across all our our teams, I'm really looking forward to putting all my efforts into Creative Bloq, and consolidating our position as the world’s number one site for designers. The continued convergence of design, and its footprint across all areas of our lives, makes it the most exciting of industries to work in, and that’s what we’ll continue to celebrate and champion on Creative Bloq.”

Nial Ferguson, Future’s Content and Marketing Director, says, “Since Future set up Creative Bloq it has gone on to be a destination for designers and the creative industry around the world. We have some very exciting plans for Creative Bloq in the coming months and it is hugely reassuring that we have someone as talented and experienced as Dan at the helm.”

Creative Bloq also co-presents the Generate Conferences which takes place each year in London and New York, and was winner of the coveted Most Influential Design Conference at the Creative Market Awards 2015.

Creative Bloq operates globally, with a team of contributors around the world, and a core production team operating out of Bath.
