Webb joins Dennis on 17th June, to head up the new Demand Generation business, leveraging the expertise and engaged audiences across the Dennis Group portfolio.
Webb joins Dennis with a wealth of experience in leading integrated, insight-driven strategic planning. He has a proven track record of building high performing teams and extensive experience in scaling businesses and accelerating growth. Previously Executive Director & General Manager at Spiceworks and more recently Chief Marketing Officer at DevopsGroup, Webb’s expertise and industry knowledge will underpin Dennis’ ambitious growth plans, says the company.
Dennis currently operates a demand generation business across its portfolio of B2B websites, including ITPro and CloudPro, which the company says is experiencing a 100% YOY increase. Webb will lead an aggressive strategy to further accelerate this growth in the UK and launch into the North American market. This will include a suite of marketing services and insight to provide further value to clients.
Dennis also plans to launch an Automotive Demand Generation business. This will be underpinned by the relaunch of its motoring sites that, according to Dennis, attract over 8 million users a month and reach 2 out of 3 car buyers in the UK.
Adding to Dennis’ aggressive growth strategy, the move will also see Dennis investigate opportunities within the Finance sector, leveraging Kiplinger’s and Moneyweek’s audience.
Pete Wootton, Chief Digital Officer, Dennis said: “We see Demand Generation as an untapped opportunity for Dennis. As market leaders in Automotive, Finance and IT B2B, we have deep relationships with our audiences and are trusted sources of information. John’s appointment will deliver the focus and knowledge needed to build a centre of excellence with the right talent, capabilities and technology to deliver success. This is an important strategic change for Dennis and one we are backing with significant investment.”
Webb will be responsible for establishing opportunities, driving revenues and managing the operations of the new business unit. He will be responsible for launching the Demand Generation business internationally to drive strong and long term growth and value for the business.
John Webb, MD of Demand Generation, Dennis, said: “This is a really exciting time to be joining Dennis. There is a huge opportunity to build on the great suite of existing services and the quality of audiences within the Dennis portfolio, to drive substantial growth and scale. I’m looking forward to joining this thriving business at a pivotal time.”
