Dennis creates new Insights role

Dennis Publishing’s car satisfaction survey, Driver Power, has seen responses up by 62% this year to a total of 46,640. Dennis has created a new Head of Automotive Insights to maximise commercial opportunities arising from the survey.

Driver Power provides an unrivalled overview of what it’s like to own and drive a car in Britain, says Dennis Publishing.

The survey, run by Dennis’ weekly motoring magazine Auto Express, covers issues that really matter to Britain’s motorists and allows insight into car owners’ views on build quality, reliability, performance and more. Over 100,000 verbatim comments also make the survey incredibly granular, allowing users to identify key attributes of the ownership experience.

James Burnay, Managing Director of Motoring at Dennis Publishing, said: “We’ve seen a phenomenal response from this year’s survey. Auto Express is a trusted brand and a true automotive authority for consumers who want to tell us what they think and how they feel. The data and feedback that we can tap into through Driver Power is second to none, and has given us a unique opportunity that we can take to market.”

Dennis has created a new role to focus on the data that surveys such as Driver Power generate. Chris Herbert has been appointed as Head of Automotive Insights, and is responsible for the analysis and maximising opportunities around the invaluable data.

Burnay continued: “We decided to appoint Chris in order to focus on this wealth of data that we have at our fingertips. This isn’t something that other publishers are doing in the automotive sector and there’s a real hunger for it.”

Chris arrives with over 15 years of research experience and an extensive breadth of insights knowledge. He said: “Given the vast amount of information already being gathered by Auto Express, this is a huge opportunity to really tap into the increasingly complex psyche of car owners and buyers. From this information we hope to expose valuable, robust and tangible insights for the automotive sector, at a truly exciting time for the industry”.
