Dennis Publishing launches new look Expert Reviews

Dennis Publishing’s consumer technology website, expertreviews.co.uk, relaunched yesterday with a new look and feel, improved functionality and more product reviews than ever before.

The site, which launched in January 2010, has established itself as a leading review website with more than 1,000 trusted and impartial reviews added each year, says Dennis Publishing.

Expert Reviews was redesigned by Dennis Publishing’s in-house web development team, Dennis Interactive, on the open source Drupal content management system (CMS).

David Ludlow, Publisher, Expert Reviews, said: “I’m really pleased with the new site. It was important to get the right look and navigation to suit our readers, so we held focus groups to establish the pain points that could be improved. Making relatively simple, but impactful changes has made an incredible difference to the user experience.

“Readers can now discover content more easily and the reviews themselves are much clearer, with bigger, in-situ photography; larger type-face and a cleaner layout. We have a new two-column design, making the homepage much clearer and easy to navigate. The new logo lends itself perfectly to the Expert Reviews Award branding.”

According to the publishers, Expert Reviews, which has 3.8m Unique Users a month, has also increased its review repertoire, adding in new sections covering coffee machines, toasters and vacuum cleaners.

John Garewal, MD of Dennis Technology & Imaging, said: “Expert Reviews has been a huge success for Dennis Publishing and now with significant investment in every aspect of the brand, we are aligned to achieve our ambition of being the go-to site for anyone searching for expert advice on what to buy in the technology space.”

“The demand for Native Advertising is ever increasing.” Continued Garewal “Quality content is what we do and now we have the platform and flexibility to deliver on brief campaigns for advertisers in the same breath as compelling content for consumers.”
