This “unmissable” new event for movie fans, has been created by Empire magazine and Clarion Events, one of the UK's largest independent events organisers.
The inaugural Empire presents…BIG SCREEN will be staged at The O2 in London over three days, August 12th-14th 2011.
This follows the recent appointment of Stuart Williams (pictured) to the newly created role of MD, Live Events and Strategic Partnerships, with a brief to drive Bauer Media's ambitions to connect audiences with our world-class brands via new entertainment platforms.

Empire presents…BIG SCREEN will give visitors a unique opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes insight to the exciting world of entertainment and to mix with the creators of movies and TV shows. The event claims to be the first major one of its kind in the UK and will be held at a number of sites within The O2 complex, including Indigo2, the Cineworld cinema complex, London Piazza and LiveQuarter.
Principal elements will include:

• Sneak previews and first-look trailers of exciting new movies and TV shows
• Personal appearances by film-makers and cast members
• A Special Effects Live Arena, the chance to see live action stunts
• Masterclasses, Q&A sessions and speaker panels from actors, directors, producers and creators
• Merchandise and collectables
• A technology showcase
• Autograph signings
• Exhibitions of memorabilia, props and costumes
