The theme of the 2015 list will be Progress and entitled ‘The Progress 1000.’ This year will also see the launch of a new chapter within the list, ‘Progress Makers’, which will sit alongside 16 other categories including ‘Newsmakers’ (spinners , marketers and TV journalists) , ‘Screensavers’ (TV chiefs, comedy and drama), ‘Trendsetters’, ‘Globetrotter’s and ‘Rising Stars’, covering influencers across the complete spectrum of London life including the arts, business, property, politics, science, and more.
The Progress 1000 will be officially announced at an event to celebrate the capital’s most influential figures on 16th September which will be held at the brand new Crossrail station in Canary Wharf – one of ten new major stations under construction in central London and Docklands – and will be the first event of its kind to take place in this location.
The London Evening Standard will publish a commemorative book and interactive app which will include the full listings and complete profiles of all those who have made the list. The book is sponsored by the Berkeley Group and will be released at the party on 16th September, along with the app.
