heat Editors Write Hollyoaks Episode

heat has penned a one-off episode of Hollyoaks, written by the magazine's acting editor, Lucie Cave, and deputy editor, Jeremy Mark.

The 'heat Does Hollyoaks' episode will centre on heat's Shopping Editor Gilly Ferguson and celebrity photographer Nicky Johnston's visit to Hollyoaks to interview and photograph Riley (Rob Norbury) for the 'Torso of the Week' feature.

Other key characters involved in the heat storyline - and all its consequences - include Heidi (Kim Tiddy), Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson), Cheryl (Bronagh Waugh), Brendan (Emmett J Scanlan), Mitzeee (Rachel Shenton) and Ethan (Craig Vye.)

heat unveiled the partnership in this week's issue. The magazine will follow up with a behind-the-scenes exclusive preview of the show, and weave the script and Hollyoaks' characters into issues throughout March ahead of the episode's broadcast on E4 on 17 March and on Channel 4 on 18 March.

Lucie will preview the episode and launch an exclusive Hollyoaks competition on her Saturday morning heat Radio programme on 12 March. Cast interviews and Hollyoaks Takeover Shows will run throughout heat Radio schedules in the week prior to broadcast.

www.heatworld.com will publish a week-long series of 'heat Does Hollyoaks' features, including news stories, cast Q&As and web chats. E4.com/Hollyoaks will promote the heat episode, with support also running on Facebook and Twitter.

The Hollyoaks' 'Torso of the Week' poster, and other elements of the episode, will appear post tx in the 22 March issue of heat, which in turn will launch the heat Reader's Torso of the Year 2011 campaign.

Lucie Cave commented: "We have long been fans of Hollyoaks at heat and to be able to combine our two worlds into both the script and the magazine makes for a truly unique media partnership. One that we think heat fans will really enjoy."

Hollyoaks is on C4 weeknights at 6.30pm, with first look on E4 weeknights at 7pm and catch up with the Sunday omnibus on T4.
