Heritage Railway relaunch

The definitive railway preservation and revival magazine Heritage Railway stokes up a fantastic new look next month, according to distributors COMAG.

The announcement from COMAG says: “The title promises readers more nostalgic indulgence, photographs and features than ever before, giving the first class treatment to these magnificent machines.

Heritage Railway relaunches with a bumper issue on 18 March. The title retains the much-loved traditional characteristics whilst displaying features in an easier to read format - giving way to even more fantastic photography!

To celebrate the steamy new look, Heritage Railway has exclusive coverage of the iconic locomotive the Flying Scotsman and its long-awaited overhaul.

Train lovers will delight in the other features, which include the ultimate history of railway preservation by Editor Robin Jones, and a new series on life in modern-day locomotive sheds from Peter Kelly. As a widely-respected heritage expert who previously edited The Railway Magazine, Steam Railway and OLD GLORY, Peter returns to Heritage Railway from the relaunch issue for this unique regular feature, where he’ll meet the volunteers who keep Britain’s fantastic steam heritage fleet alive.

With all this, plus a comprehensive news section covering all aspects of heritage railways, including steam diesel and electric traction, there’s never been a better time to pick up Heritage Railway.

Founding Editor Robin Jones says, “We have redesigned the magazine so it will have major appeal not only to our huge enthusiast following, but also to the very large proportion of the general public who are discovering railway heritage for the first time. We have an 11-year track record of breaking the big stories that the others miss, and now we want to go one better!”

Retailers are advised to display Heritage Railway alongside titles such as Steam Railway, Steam World and Railway Magazine.”
