Imagine partners with Magzter to expand into India and Asia

Imagine Publishing has announced a portfolio partnership with digital newsstand Magzter.

The deal sees Imagine’s technology content distributed via the Magzter app on all key digital platforms, including iPad, iPhone, Android tablets, Windows 8, and desktop computers through the website www.magzter.com

Launched in 2011, Magzter is the brainchild of co-founders Girish Ramdas and Vijayakumar Radhakrishnan, two Indian-based dotcom entrepreneurs with over 15 years experience in cross-platform publishing. Magzter now has over 4.5 million users and was recently the #1 Top Grossing app in the Asia iTunes app store, says Imagine.

Imagine’s full portfolio of 19 regular technology magazines is now live on the Magzter app, and within a month over 150 of the company’s bookazines will also be available, including key brands such as For Beginners, Genius Guide and Tips & Tricks.

“Magzter brings a whole new eager audience to Imagine’s award-winning technology magazines and bookazines,” said Group Managing Director Damian Butt. “Its penetration and popularity in the important Indian and Asian markets is extremely exciting for us, and now opens up Imagine’s titles to hundreds of millions of new potential purchasers.”

“Working with Imagine Publishing is truly exciting for us. We look forward to launching their presence on Windows 8 devices with standalone Magzter powered apps which will increase their visibility and global footprint. Imagine’s ideology and quest for excellence in technology-related publications is akin to that of Magzter, and their presence on our newsstand increases our content offering to Magzter’s global users,” said Girish Ramdas, Co-founder and CEO, Magzter Inc.
