Launch: Love Sewing

Love Sewing, a new monthly magazine from Practical Publishing International, goes on sale 24 April, priced £5.99.

According to distributors COMAG: The renewed interest in craft skills, a growing movement away from mass-produced goods and a resurgence in make-it-yourself products in recent times has led to a renaissance of sewing in the UK, fuelled in part by the success of the BBC television series The Great British Sewing Bee.

Research undertaken in 2013 by Practical Publishing International found that whilst 90% of craft magazine readers sew, only 12% of them consider themselves experts at sewing.

This means that there is a real need for a magazine that provides clear explanations of sewing techniques and ideas to create beautiful clothes, homewares and more, which is where Love Sewing comes in - a new magazine of sewing inspiration for people of all sewing abilities.

Aimed at women aged 30 to 55 who are looking to explore the world of sewing, Love Sewing will be the ultimate source of inspiration for sewing enthusiasts of all levels of experience.

Produced by the expert team behind magazines such as Simply Homemade and Simply Cards & Papercraft, Love Sewing will be packed with great ideas and fully illustrated step-by-step instructions to inspire and encourage readers to take up needle and thread.

Packed with clear and fully illustrated step-by-step instructions, Love Sewing will have a range of projects ranging from stylish quick makes to gorgeous garments and everything in between.

Issue No.1 of Love Sewing will feature a mix of 35 fantastic projects including homewares and dressmaking, as well as other soft crafts such as quilting and cushion making.

Every issue of Love Sewing will also carry stunning free gifts and issue No.1 will be bagged with a sheet of exclusive Kirsty Allsopp fabric, a bonus magazine full of Liberty Fabric sewing projects, a fabulous fabric discount offer, as well as a free downloadable dressmaking pattern.

As well as all this, the launch issue of Love Sewing will have an interview with May Martin from The Great British Sewing Bee and competition to win a Janome sewing machine worth £499!

Love Sewing will show even the most novice needle-holder that sewing really can be a cinch!
