Mario Monti to speak at inaugural FT summit

The Financial Times will host its first ever FT Italy Summit, entitled ‘New Routes for Growth’, in Milan on Monday 12 November.

Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti joins an impressive line-up of speakers to tackle the critical questions facing Italy’s economy.

The summit, which comes at a historic crossroads for Italy and the EU, will look at the risks, challenges and opportunities facing international business interests in Italy, and discuss the amplified role of Italy within the region and on the global stage.

Keynote speakers and panellists at the conference include:

• Mario Monti, Italian Prime Minister

• Corrado Passera, Italian Minister for Economic Development, Infrastructure and Transport

• Mauro Moretti, CEO, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane

• Alessandro Profumo, Chairman, Monte dei Paschi di Siena

• Andrea Ragnetti, CEO, Alitalia
