Media Innovation Awards 2014 – now open

The Media Innovation Awards celebrate innovation and entrepreneurial spirit in media, across print, web, mobile, social and events.

Established in 2010 as the Media Pioneer Awards, they have recognised many inventive publishing and media businesses, both large and small.

Judging for the 2014 awards takes place in March, with winners announced and awards presented at the Digital Media Innovation Conference in London on 8 April 2014, followed by a drinks reception.

Shortlisted businesses are featured on the event website and InPublishing. There is no entry fee for publishers and submitting an entry is simple. The awards are open to any publisher who has innovated in print, digital media or events and can prove tangible positive results: increased reach or revenue or reduced costs.

New for 2014: suppliers and services for media businesses can also enter the Media Innovation Awards for a small fee.

2014 judges include:

* Colin Morrison, former CEO at Emap, Reed, Future, ACP, Axel Springer and now non-exec at Travel Weekly and Globelynx

* Julian Turner, CEO of Electric Word

* Peter Houston, former Content Director Advanstar & Media Pioneer Award winner in 2011 - now Founder of Flipping Pages Media

* James Evelegh, Publisher & Editor, InPublishing

The deadline for entries is 17 March 2014.
